The “Today Show” Features BAMBOOADVANTAGE Flooring!

Matt Lauer of the Today Show interviewed host/homeowner of “HouseLift”, Paul Hochman, a new show featured on the Discovery Home Channel. Paul demonstrated the installation of bamboo flooring on the May 12th Today Show. BAMBOOADVANTAGE flooring was installed in two rooms of the newly renovated home. Link to the Today Show web site featuring BAMBOOADVANTAGE: http://msnbc.msn.com/id/4952841/

Excerpt from the “Today Show” web site:

”The cool thing about bamboo flooring is that it's as hard or harder than other hardwoods like Maple or Oak, but it's more stable, since it's laminated together from small strips. Benefit: there's less expanding and contracting, which is a big deal in climates like the Northeast, where temperature and humidity swings can leave big gaps in traditional floors. But it's the environmental issues that really hit home. Ecologically, the harvesting of bamboo does not affect the world's already-dwindling timber resources. Technically considered a grass, bamboo has the ability to grow to maturity (up to 90 feet in height) in 4-6 years. The intricate root system remains unharmed upon harvesting and allows for sustainable future growth. MSRP: about $5 per square foot, equivalent to oak.”
